The other day someone said to me, oh your corporate website is blue and green? Haven’t you heard of the saying, "Red and Green Should Not Be Seen" and "Blue and Green Should Never Be Seen Without Something in Between".
Well yes I have, but I also believe that colours help to create a corporate identity or better yet a corporate personality above and beyond that which you are actually pitching to your clients. Whether you or your clients realize it, you are in a business relationship because you hold the same beliefs, predicated on the small features you portray within your corporate brand.
For me these two, bold colours show that my company is not afraid to push the established rules to the limit and perhaps even break them when necessary. My theory is that you will never find out if something works until you go above and beyond conventional rules. Some even better questions to ask yourself, who made these rules? Are these ancient rules developed by someone that was required or ordered to create them or were they organically developed and accepted? These are the questions I ask.
Is it a coincidence that the colours I chose happen to be two primary colours? Yes it was - however I will easily argue differently to any fellow marketers and advertising agencies that perhaps it was subconscious.
